A method for recording holograms that requires no chemical processing offers greater feasibility to include holography in practical physics classes [Ref: Chiaverina, C.“The Physics Teacher” vol. 48, November 2010, P 551-552]. This project will investigate the possibilities of “Litiholo” holographic setups for an advanced undergraduate teaching lab activity. The project will involve experimental work including investigation of techniques such as Denisyuk reflection holograms, holographic interferometry, Lipmann photography, and natural-colour holograms created via simultaneous three-wavelength recording. The aim is to develop an activity and notes suitable for a third-year lab prac.
