Recently several strong results concerning future stability of solutions to the Einstein-Vlasov and Einstein-Euler-system with a cosmological constant have been obtained. In this talk I will present future stability results concerning the case of homogeneous solutions to the Einstein-Vlasov system without a cosmological constant. I will motivate the interest of a kinetic model and homogeneous spacetimes in cosmology and discuss how the results presented can be generalized.
