In the hierarchical Universe galaxies come together to form large galaxy clusters, which attract more galaxies to the present day. As a galaxy is being assembled into such a cluster, its properties such as the rate at which it is forming stars change rapidly. Several magnificent examples of such a transformation in infalling galaxies have recently been discovered in galaxy clusters near and far. In this project we will compile a sample of galaxies found on the outskirts of clusters and study their optical and ultraviolet (where available) properties.

Prior knowledge of some programming language and SQL is appreciated (especially for summer students) but not necessary.
