Maths Space
The Maths Space is a designated space for undergraduate mathematics and statistics students. Maths Space was opened in September 2007.
Maths Space aims to:
- continue to establish and promote a mathematics learning community, by creating a stimulating and nurturing environment for mathematics students
- provide a student forum, fostering horizontal and vertical student interactions
- promote the discussion of current research projects in mathematics and statistics
- further the connection with mathematics staff outside regular coursework through the set problems and organised social events
- encourage and inspire students with mathematics career information, and contact with potential employers
- foster contributions to Infinity magazine and other mathematics and SPS promotional material.
There is a blackboard site for enrolled students to access the list of current activities going on in the space. |
