This three-day workshop requires some experience with using R in practice and reasonable statistical expertise.

Monday & Tuesday - using R effectively

  1. A survey of statistical modelling, data analysis and graphics in R
  2. Reproducible research with R Markdown

Wednesday - R programming and programming techniques

  1. More advanced concepts: classes, methods, environments and scoping rules
  2. Extending R with compiled code: Rcpp
  3. Package construction

  • 9:00am - 4:00pm
  • Best if participants bring their own laptop, but not a requirement.

 

There is a separate three-day Introduction to R workshop for beginners on the previous week 17-19 November which may serve as an adequate preparation for this more advanced course.
