Scientific Python

Python at the basic level is great for automating many tasks, but it
does fall short when it comes to data analysis. Scientists are
routinely creating, modifying, and analysing complex information. At
the most basic level we work with arrays of data, where numerical
packages like NumPy and Pandas are needed. For high level solutions we
need statistical tools, the ability to fit functions to data, and
operate on images. Fortunately, most of this can be done with one
package called SciPy. We will cover some of the basic tools it
provides.
